Solution

The correct option is A A - Receptor
C - Synaptic vesicles
Neurotransmitters are packaged into synaptic vesicles that cluster beneath the axon terminal membrane on the presynaptic side of a synapse. The axonal terminals are specialized to release the neurotransmitters of the presynaptic cell. In the nervous system, a synapse is a structure that permits a neuron (or nerve cell) to pass an electrical or chemical signal to another neuron. Here, A is the receptor, in a chemical synapse, electrical activity in the presynaptic neuron caues the release of a chemical called a neurotransmitter that binds to receptors located in the plasma membrane of the postsynaptic cell. The synaptic vesicles (represented by C in the figure) store various neurotransmitters that are released at the synapse. In the figure A is the receptor, B is the synaptic cleft, C represents synaptic vesicles and D is the Ca++. So, the correct answer is option A.
