If a die is thrown then its sample space contains $6$ points and they are $\{1,2,3,4,5,6\}$.

Now the outcome to be either a multiple of $2$ or $3$ then for this event the sample space contains the points $\{2,4,3,6\}$ i.e. $4$ points.

Now, the probability for this event is $\frac{4}{6}=\frac{2}{3}$.
