Let E0 be the electric field without dielectric medium.

Then when dielectric medium is introduced, the electric field becomes , Enet=E0K

But, Enet=E0Ein , where Ein is induced electric field.

Ein=E0Enet

Ein=E0E0K

σinσ=1112

Hence, option (a) is correct.
