Solution

Dear student,
Answer is 1200. Number of genes in the genome of the organism is 1200. A diploid cell has 2n number of chromosome. n is the genome of the organism which has 6 chromosome. Therefore total number of chromosome in diploid cell is 12. Total number of genes in 2n (12 chromosome) chromosome is 2400. Therefore number of genes in n (6 chromosome) chromosome or genome is 1200.
