Let amount of goods purchased =Xkg

Amount of good sold is 20% less thax purchased.

So, Amount of goods sold =X20% of X=0.8X

Amount remains with dealer will be profit.

So, profit =X0.8X=0.2X

Gain percentage=Profit×100Amount of goods sold=0.2X×1000.8X=1004=25%
