Figure 4 represents the sound with low pitch. (b) Sound reaches our ears in the form of transverse waves or vibrations from its source of production. A vibrating object creates compression and rarefaction of the surrounding air molecules, and those sound pressure waves in the air in turn cause the tympanic membrane in your ears to vibrate.
