(b) The pituitary hormones involved in the process of spermatogenesis are:
(i) Luteinising hormone - Luteinising hormone acts at the Leydig cells and stimulates synthesis and secretion of androgens, which in turn stimulates the process of spermatogenesis.
(ii) Follicle stimulating hormone - This hormone acts on the Sertoli cells and stimulates secretion of some factors which help in the process of spermiogenesis. [2 marks]
