A drunkard is walking along a straight road. He takes 5 steps forward and 3 steps backwards and so on. Each step is one meter long and takes one second. There is a pit on the road 11 metres away from the starting point. The drunkard will fall into the pit after:

The correct option is A 29 Steps
Displacement in first eight steps =(53)m=2m
Time taken for first eight steps =8s
Time taken by the drunkard to cover first 6m of journey =62×8=24s
If the drunkard takes 5 steps more, he will fall into the pit. So the time taken by the drunkard to cover last five steps =5s.
Total time taken =24s+5s=29s
The drunkard will fall into the pit after 29 steps.
