Solution

a. It is obtained by condensation polymerisation of hexamethylene diamine with adipic acid under high pressure and at high temperature.
nHOOC(CH2)4COOHAdipic acid+ nH2N(CH2)6NH2Hexamethylene diamine⎢ ⎢ ⎢H|N(CH2)6H|NO||C(CH2)4O||C⎥ ⎥ ⎥Nylon6n
b. Thermoplastic polymers are linear or branched long chain molecules that soften on heating and harden on cooling. They can be remoulded and recycled. Polythene and polystyrene are thermoplastic polymers.
c. The structure of isoprene ( 2-methyl-1, 3-butadiene) is CH2=C|CH3CH=CH2
