Solution
(a) Regeneration is the process by which some organisms replace or restore lost or amputated body parts.
There are specialized cells in Planaria to carry out the process of regenration.
These cells will proliferate and produce large mass of cells. From this mass of cells, different cells undergo changes to become various cell types and tissues.
These changes which take place in a specific sequence are called as development.
(b) Regeneration is not same as reproduction because in regeneration lost body part is devloped from existing body part. And in reproduction whole new organism developes.
