a) Explain why leaf survival is so important to the plant?

a) Leaf survival is important because a pigment chlorophyll is present in it which is required for food synthesis.It also helps in transpiration. It also acts as a storage organ.

b) (i) In simple leaf, lamina remains undivided whereas in compound leaf lamina is divided into multiple smaller units.
