Finding the ratio

Given that, factory manufactures $400$ boxes out of which $28$ are defective boxes.

So, good boxes $=400-28=372$

Now, ratio of the number of good boxes produced to the defective ones $=\frac{372}{28}$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{372÷4}{28÷4} \\ =\frac{93}{7} \\ =93:7 \end{gathered}$$

Hence, the required ratio is $93:7$
