A 4-hour shift means 240 minutes

Now, that they are demanding for a 30-minute break, the shift time becomes 3 hours and 30 minutes i.e., 210 minutes.

Using inverse proportionality

$\frac{6}{y}$ = $\frac{210}{240}$

6 × 240 = 210 × y
y = 6.857142.... = 7

So they can have 7 shifts.
