The correct option is B juxtaglomerular cells to release renin
The kidneys have in-built mechanism for the regulation of glomerular filtration rate. One such efficient mechanism is carried out the juxtaglomerular apparatus (JGA). JGA is a special sensitive region formed by the cellular modifications at the location of contact of distal convoluted tubule and the afferent arteriole. A fall in GFR can activate the JG cells to release renin. This can stimulate the glomerular blood flow and thereby the GFR comes back to normal.
