Solution

The correct options are
A

Organic farming is implemented.

B

Effective recycling of farm waste for productive purposes.

C

Economic development by cattle rearing.

Integrated farming is a practice where cattle rearing is done along with agriculture. For example, paddy fields have coops of ducks, where droppings of duck make an excellent fertilizer for the paddy field. Poultry can be done along with fish farm where bird droppings promote the growth of aquatic plants which make the food of fish. The insects growing in the water body make food for the poultry birds. Agriculture is done along with rearing of cattle for milk. The organic waste of the field becomes fodder for the cattle.

The features of integrated farming include:

1. Innovation in farming practices for maximising production by optimal use of local resources,

2. Effective recycling of farm wastes for productive purposes,

3. Systems for water conservation led by local communities,

4. Organic farming,

5. Economic development through activities such as dairy, poultry, fishery, goat-rearing, vermicomposting and others.
