The correct option is C 12 chocolates
The ratio in which the chocolates were divided was 2 : 3.

Total number of parts = 2 + 3 = 5
$\Rightarrow$ Value of 5 parts = 20 chocolates
$\Rightarrow$ Value of 1 part
$= \frac{20}{5} = 4$

$∴$ Child 2 receives 3 parts
$= 3 \times 4 = 12$ chocolates
