800 and 1000


The ratio of their age is 12:15

= 4:5.

So, the money has to be divided in this ratio.
Let the shares be 4x and 5x respectively.
Now, 4x + 5x = 9x,
9x = 1800

x = 200

Hence the share will be 4 (200) = ₹ 800

And the hence the other share = 5 (200) = ₹ 1000.
