The correct option is A

1,600 and 2,000


The ratio of their ages is 12:15. Its simplest form is 4:5.

So, the money has to be divided in this ratio.

Let the shares be 4x and 5x respectively.

Now, 4x + 5x = 9x
9x = 3600
x = 400

Hence, their respective share will be,
400(4) = ₹1,600

400(5) = ₹2,000
