The correct option is A
emptied in 12 min

Time taken to fill the tank in = $\frac{1}{24}$ min .

Time taken to empty the tank in = $\frac{1}{12}$ min.

Work done by both in 1 min = ( $\frac{1}{24}$ - $\frac{1}{12}$ ) = -- $\frac{1}{24}$ (-- ve means empty) .

Now full tank will be emptied by them in 24 mins.

Half tank will be emptied in 12 mins.
