The correct option is B 3 cm

The boundary of the circle will be formed by rays that just graze the surface of water.

For total internal reflection,
OAF=90θc
=90sin1(1μ)
=90sin1(34)
=cos1(34)
Let OAF=α, then cosα=34
and tanα=73(1)
In the triangle AOF,
tan α=OFOA=7r(2)
From equation (1) and (2),
r=3 cm
Why this question?

In this question, we use the principle of reversibility of light rays.
