Suppose a flask holds x units of a liquid from which
y units are taken out and traded by water. After
n operations, quantity of pure liquid left in the flask will be

(x(1xy)n]units

Given x = 30 and y = 3
Substituting in the above formula

(30(1303)3]=21.9 litres
