Solution

The correct option is B 10 hours 29 minutes
The flight took off at 22:12 which is in 24-hour format
In 12-hour format it is 10:12 P.M.
For easier calculation, let us first calculate time taken from 10:12 P.M. to 12:00 A.M
= time taken to reach 11:00 P.M + 1 hour
= 60 - 12 + 1 hour
= 48 + 1 hour
= 1 hour 48 minutes

Now, it reaches at 08:41 A.M.
Time taken from 12:00 A.M. to 8:41 A.M. = 8 hours and 41 minutes
Required time taken
= 1 hour 48 minutes + 8 hours 41 minutes
Let's first add the hours and minutes separetly
= 1 + 8 + 48 + 41
= 9 hours + 89 minutes
Let us split 89 as 60 + ( 89 - 60 ) since 60 minutes = 1 hour
= 9 hours + 60 + 29
= 9 hours + 1 hour + 29 minutes
= 10 hours 29 minutes
