A flooring tile has a shape of parallelogram whose base is 24 cm and the corresponding height is 10cm.How many such tiles are required to cover a floor of area 1080 msq?( if required you can split the tiles in what ever way you want to fill up the corners)?

Area of a parallelogram= base × height
= 24 × 10 = 240 sq. cm
Required number of tiles = Area of floorArea of tile
= 1080× 100× 100240
= 45000
