A football is kicked vertically upwards. Find the velocity at the peak of its height. Also find the acceleration at the top. Use projectile concept.

The velocity of the football is zero at the peak of its height.
By the projectile concept,
Velocity of projectile at peak point,
Vertical velocity= 0Horizontal velocity=ucosα=ucos90°=0So, net velocity=0
In the projectile motion acceleration is always equal to the acceleration due to gravity and directed downwards.
So, at peak point also acceleration is equal to the acceleration due to gravity and directed downwards.
