The correct option is C $2.4 m s^{- 2}$
$F = m \times a$ Now, When the some force
$F = 6 m 2$ is applied on the two bodies
Now, ${4 m}_{1} = {6 m}_{2}$ together, Mass $= m_{1} + m_{2}$
So $m_{2} = \frac{2}{3} m_{1}$ $= m_{1} + 2 / 3 m_{1} = 5 / 3 m_{1}$
Now, force on second body and force $= {4 m}_{1}$
was ${6 m}_{2}$ so, Using,
${6 m}_{2} = 6 \times (2 / 3 m_{1}) = 4 m_{1}$
