Given,
F1=12N
F2=5N
The resultant force, R=F21+F22+2F1F2cosθ. . . . . . .(1)
For maximum force, θ=00
Rmax=F1+F2=12N+5N=17N
For minimum force, θ=1800
Rmin=F1F2=12N5N=7N
So, from the above, the single force must be between 17N to 7N.
