Given, the force on small piston F1=250 N, Area of small piston A1=5 m2 and Area of large piston A2=25 m2. Let the force exerted on the large piston be F2.

According to Pascal law,

F1A1=F2A2

On substituting values, 2505=F225.

We get F2=1250 N. Therefore, the force exerted on the large piston is 1250 N.
