Solution

S.P. of 4 oranges = Rs. 3
S.P. of 1 orange = Rs. 34, Gain = 50%
S.P. = C.P.×150100
C.P. of 1 orange = 100×S.P(100+50)
= 100×34150=75150=Re12
(i) C.P. of 4 oranges = 4 ×12 = Rs. 2
(ii) C.P. of 1 orange = Rs. 12 = Rs. (0.50)
(iii) S.P. of 1 orange = Rs. 34 = Rs. 0.75
(iv) Profit made by selling one orange
= Rs. 34Rs.12 = Rs. 14 = Rs. 0.25
(v) If gain is Rs. 14, number of oranges = 1
