Solution

CP of 300 apples = Rs 50 per dozen
300 apples = 30012 dozen
i.e 25 dozen
1 dozen = Rs 50
25 dozen = Rs (25×50)
= Rs 1250
CP of 300 applies = Rs 1250
overall profit % should be 12%
profit = 12×CP100
=12×1250100= Rs 150
SP should be 1250 + 150 = Rs 1400
Now,
SP of 200 apples = Rs 50 per 10 apple
SP of 200 apples = 5010×200= Rs 1000
Now he has to make Rs 400 (1400 - 1000) by selling
last 100 apples
SP of 100 apples = Rs 400
SP of 1 apple = 400100
= Rs 4
