Solution

The correct option is A 1.59
240 mL, 550 mL, 150 ml and 650 ml are in milliliters.

Let's convert them into liters and finally add them.

We know that 1000 ml = 1 L
1 mL = 0.001 L
  • 240 mL = 240×0.001=0.24 L
  • 550 mL = 550×0.001=0.55 L
  • 150 mL = 150×0.001=0.15 L
  • 650 mL = 650×0.001=0.65 L
Total quantity of juice in liters
=0.24 L+0.55 L+0.15 L+0.65 L=1.59 L

Alternate Solution:
We can add the quantities in milliliters and finally convert the result into liters.

Total quantity of juice in milliliters
= 240 mL + 550 mL + 150 mL + 650 mL
=1590 mL

Now, 1590 mL=15901000 L=1.59 L
