A galvanometer having a resistance of $120 Ω$ is shunted by $5 Ω$ resistance. What is the ratio of current in shunt to the current in galvanometer ?

Shunt and Galvanometer resistance are in parallel.
So, $I_{1} = I \times \frac{5}{125} \to (i)$
$I_{2} = I \times \frac{120}{125} \to (i i)$
Divide (ii) by (i)
$\frac{I_{2}}{I_{2}} = \frac{120}{5} = 24$
