Area of path $=$ Area of bigger rectangle $-$ Smaller rectangle

Area of rectangle $=$ length $\times$ breadth

Area of path $=(30+1.5)(20+1.5)-\left(30\right)\left(20\right)$

$=\left(30\right)\left(20\right)+20\left(1.5\right)+30\left(1.5\right)+(1.5{)}^2+(30\left)\right(20)$

$=1.5(20+30+1.5)=51.5\times 1.5$

$=77.25m^2$

Total expense $=77.25\times 10=Rs.772.5$
