A gas is filled in a container at ${27}^{\circ }C$ . On increasing the temperature to ${127}^{\circ }C$ , 1 litre $\left(\text{having}{\frac{1}{4}}^{th}\text{mass}\right)$ of the gas
escape out of the container. Calculate the volume of the container.

$V\propto T$

$\frac{V_1}{V_2}=\frac{T_1}{T_2}=\frac{(27+273)}{(127+273)}=\frac{3}{4}\Rightarrow V_1=\frac{3V_2}{4}$ or $V_2=\frac{4V_1}{3}$

$\Rightarrow V_2-V_1=1L$

$\Rightarrow \frac{4}{3}{V}_1-V_1=1$

$\therefore V_1=3L$

$\therefore$ The volume of the container is $3L$ .
