Gravitational potential energy at Ist floor $= m g h_{1}$
$= 35 \times 10 \times 4 = 1400 J$
Potential energy at third floor $= m g h_{2}$
$= 35 \times 10 \times 12 = 4200 J$
Increase in potential energy $= 4200 - 1400$
$= 2800 J$
