(a) Give an example of an endothermic animal.
(b) Give an example of an ectothermic animal.
(c) Give an example for an organism of the benthic zone.
(a) Birds such as crows, sparrows, pigeons, cranes, etc. and mammals such as bears, cows, rats, rabbits, etc. are endothermic animals. Endotherm, so-called warm-blooded animals; that is, those that maintain a constant body temperature independent of the environment.
(b) An ectothermic animal - Fishes such as sharks, amphibians such as frogs, and reptiles such as tortoise, snakes, and lizards are ectothermic animals. Any so-called cold-blooded animal; that is, any animal whose regulation of body temperature depends on external sources, such as sunlight or a heated rock surface.
(c) An organism of the benthic zone- Corals and sponges. The Benthic Community is made up of organisms that live in and on the bottom of the ocean floor. Benthos include worms, clams, crabs, lobsters, sponges, and other tiny organisms that live in the bottom sediments. Benthos are divided into two groups, the filter feeders and the deposit feeders.
