(a) IUPAC names and formulae of an organic compound containing single bonds are alkanes and the general formula of an alkane is CnH2n+2 and the other containing a triple bond is alkyne and the general formula of an alkyne is CnH2n2.​

(b) C6H6 is the molecular formula of benzene.

(c) Iso-butane has a branched chain, while normal butane has a single chain of carbon atoms.
