Pancreas also produces hormones like glucagon, insulin, somatostatin are involved in glucose metabolism.
Liver is the largest gland of the body lying in the upper right side of the abdominal cavity just below the diaphgram. It is mainly involved in the production of bile which helps in the digestion of fats in small intestine by emulsification process. Salivary glands are situated just outside the buccal cavity. They discharge their secretions (salivary juices) in the oral cavity, which helps in the mastication of food.
