h=10cm=0.10m
Area of base =A1=5cm2=5×104m2
Area of top =A2=10cm2=103m2
Force exerted by water on the bottom of the glass is
F1=(pa+hρwg)A1
=(1.01×105+0.10×103×10)5×104
=(101000+1000)5×104
=102000×5×104=10.2×5
F1=51N.
