The correct option is C 23 cm

We know that,
μ21=μ2μ1=real depthapparent depth
where μ1 is the refractive index of the medium in which the observer is present and μ2 is the refractive index of the medium in which the object is kept.
Here, μ1 is the refractive index of air and μ2 is the refractive index of glass slab.
So, 1.51=2apparent depth
apparent depth=43 cm

Hence, shift of spot =243=23 cm
