Uplift force,
U1=[γwh1+γwh22]×B

=(10×40)+(10×4)2×30

=6600 kN/m

If d/s water is removed,


Uplift force,
U2=12×γwh1×B
=12×10×40×30
=6000 kN/m

Then uplift force will decrease by 600 kN/m
