Let the shopkeeper buys 1kg of rice at Rs x
Selling price of rice by shopkeeper = 1.1x
Quantity sold =0.8kg
or, 800gm is sold for 1.1x
1gm is sold for 1.1x800
1000gm is sold for 1100x800
1.375x
Hence the profit is 37.5%
