A group of psychologists organized a research study in a college campus. Participants were invited for the study and they were paid 15iftheyarestudentsand 10 if they are non-students. If there were 10 participants and college pays a total cost of 120$, how many of the participants were students?

Let the number of students are x
Then number of non-student = 10x
Then according to the question,
15(x)+10(10x)=120
15x+10010x=120
5x=20
x=205=4
Hence, there were 4 participants were students.
