Question

A Hall effect transducer is used for the measurement of a magnetic field of 0.5(Wb/m2). The 2mm thick slab is made of bismuth for which the Hall's co-efficient is 1×106(Vm/(A Wbm2)) the current is 3A, the output voltage (in mV) is _____
  1. -0.75

Solution

The correct option is A -0.75
EH=KHIB/t

=1×106×3×0.5×12×103

=106×0.75×103

=75×105=0.75 mV

EH=0.75 mV
