The correct option is C 200 N;102 sec.
mass (m)=1kg

Initial velocity (u) =2m/s

distance covered (s)= 0.01m

using (3)rd equation of motion

v2=u2=2as

final velocity (v)=0 (nail does not move further)

0=(2)2+2a×(0.01)


a=200m/s2

Force of impact i..e. applied by hammer

F=ma

=(1kg)(200m/s2)

F=200N

Now, using (1) st equation of motion

v=u+at

v=0

0=2+(200)t

t=2200

t102sec

Hence, A is correct option.
