From the data given in the question,

AmaxAmin=Ai+ArAiAr=8

Where Aiamplitude of the incident wave.
Ar amplitude of the reflected wave.

By using, componendo -dividendo rule we get, Ai=97Ar

Percentage of energy transmitted,
