A has Rs. 34 in form of fifty paisa and twenty - five paisa coins. If the number of 25 paisa coins be twice the number of 50 paisa coins, how many 25 paisa coins does he have?

Let $x$ be the no. of $50$ paise coins.

Let $y$ be the no. of $25$ paise coins.

According to the question , we have

$0.50x+0.25y=34$

Also , $Y=2x$

$\therefore$ $0.50x+0.25$ $\times$ $2x=34$

$\Rightarrow$ $0.50x+0.50x=34$

$\Rightarrow$ $1x=34$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=34$

$\therefore y=2\times 34=68$

$\therefore$ We have $68$, $25$paise coins.
