Open in App
Solution

Let CP = x paise
Initial SP =x+25% of x=1.25x

New SP=(1.25x60) paise
New gain =5% of x
New SPCP=0.05x
1.25x60x=0.05x
0.25x60=0.05x
0.25x0.05x=60
0.2x=60
x=600.2=300

So, the CP =300 paise

Hence, final selling price
=1.25x60
=(1.25×30060) paise=315 paise=Rs.3.15
