A hemispherical bowl of internal radius 9 cm is full of liquid. The liquid is to be filled into cylindrical shaped small bottles, each of diameter 3 cm and height 4 cm. How many bottles are needed to empty the bowl ?

Radius of hemispherical bowl = 9 cm
Volume of liquid in the bowl = 23πr3=(23π×9×9×9)=486π cm3

Radius of each cylindrical bottle = 32 cm

And, height = 4 cm
Volume of each cylindrical bottle = πR2h=π×32×32×4=9π cm3

Therefore, required number of bottles = 486π9π=54
