When the mirror is rotated by angle θ, the reflected ray will be rotated by 2θ.
i.e., the rate of angular displacement of the reflected ray about C is twice the rate of angular displacement of the mirror.

Let the height of the spot be x above the horizontal mirror.
tanθ=xd
x=dtanθ

differentiating w. r. t. time, we get,

dxdt=dsec2θdθdt

v=dsec2θ(2ω)=2ωdsec2θ



Hence, (D) is the correct answer.
