Solution

The correct option is A Vasopressin
Vasopressin is an antidiuretic hormone which has marked vasoconstrictive effect on arterioles, raising blood pressure and increases water permeability of collecting duct and distal convoluted tubules resulting in water retention. Glucocorticoids are steroid hormones which are involved in metabolism of carbohydrates, fats & proteins. Glucagon, a proteinaceous hormone secreted by a – cells of pancreas promotes glycogenolysis and deamination of amino acids & gluconeogenesis (formation of glucose). Thymosin, released from thymus (acts as a temporary endocrine gland) is believed to accelerate cell division, lymphocyte formation, development of resistance to infection & attainment of sexual maturity.
